Just have to say how amazing everyone's tattoo's here are.  Gorgeous.
I've just had my latest ink done this afternoon.  It's a tattoo of my Dad's signature in his own handwriting.  My Dad died in 2004 of a fatal heart attack and I still ache with missing him.  My Dad wasn't a big writer,  and I only have one birthday card that he wrote to me from him and my Mum. (Mum was always in charge of card writing usually)  I treasure that card and this is the signature from it.    (Excuse the elephant lookalike arm, I assure you it doesn't look like that in real life)
I will now wear it with pride as a lasting part of him and the impression he made on me and my life.

While I'm sharing I'd also like to show you the tattoo's I had done 5 months before my Dad died.  Each butterfly, which I designed myself, symbolises each of my children.  The two that are here with me and the two who died in pregnancy.
Thanks for looking and letting me share.

tazzell, that's beautiful. i lost my mom in 2001, and this gives me a wonderful idea for making use of some of the inspiring things she wrote to me.

Just got some new ink this week. I got Superman in Kryptonian. For I know I am not "THE" Superman, but I am "A" Superman. Yes, I know I'm a geek, and yes, I'm O.K. with that. Enjoy

thanx for the love guys. um..Morning star, the only things i have gotten from people about the placement is either "did it hurt", "i love it there" and what do you do when you need to cover it?  i love the placement, i couldn't imagine it anywhere else. Amberbrown. yes that is my Thompson tribute.( the beginning, i'm getting the famous convertible Steadman drawing on my lower right back.) actually its my life mantra. my husband has the same saying done in the actually fear and loathing font on his outer forearms, if that makes sense.  it was something we both wanted separately and decided it would be great if we got them  to celebrate my birthday/our first year wedding anniversary.
and Butterfly Grl..thank you. i would love to see a shirt with this one it!

Good for you and your husband!!  I can't wait to see the Ralph Steadman tattoo!!!!  I love (love!) his work!  I've always wanted to get the quote "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." on my chest with ink blots and strange little Steadman monster faces.  I want to see more!
