i have two friends with facial tattoo's. One has a LOT of facial tattoo's on his forehead, eye brows and jaw and his wife has her eyebrows (not makeup style though). I don't think I'd tattoo my face. Its cute when done right but I like the ability to be undercover when needed. Cheesy

If I ever did get a facial tattoo it'd probably be fairly small and close to my hairline to I could easily cover it up when at work/with my mom's side of the family. Apparantly the bible says something about facial tattoos being evil, but I'm not particularly religious so I wouldn't be too worried.

as far as the lightning bolt on your forehead idea... you don't sound super serious but it's left me wondering if anybody knows people with facial tattoos who are not dirty squatter punks?  those are the only kind i know.  I guess there are lots of gang face tattoos but i don't know too many of those people...  ok, i guess i'll broaden the question to "does anyone know any people who are not total social rejects"?  i love the idea of facial tattoos but in practice it seems to me to still be reallllly extreme (or permanent cosmetics, but ugh please...)

I missed that comment (which I find sort of rude). Lots of indiginous people have facial tattoo's and they aren't "rejects"  Cheesy. It is part of the hawaiian culture as well as others, I just happen to live in Hawaii. My friend who has facial tattoo's is a mortgage broker and VERY successful, not a reject at all. She just happens to like facial tattoo's. Her husband has mucho facial tattoo's as well. He was a gutter punk in his younger days but is now a respectable adult. I know you probably didn't mean to offend anyone by that and I'm not taking it personally I thought I'd just share my experiences with you.  Cheesy

I'm not an expert by any means, just a collector. Good to see you around! I know that on most skin white does not last very well. If you are getting one I'd say you will have to touch it up often. Talk to your tattoo artist though, see what they have to say.

I got this tattoo in '98 and the white is still visible:

But I have been EXTRA good about moistureizing, not tanning, and such things that make tattoos fade. It still looks great. Much better to the naked eye though.

My newest:

An iris and carnation for my mom, the made-up word 'insinuendos' for my pop (he was a very smart man, but always combined 'innuendo' with 'insinuate' to make his own Spanish-sounding 'word'.  Hee!).

By Sky Winchester of One Shot Tattoo in San Francisco.  http://www.oneshottattoo.com/Sky.htm  He's doing a companion piece on the other side in two weeks Smiley  I also have a work-in-progress by Karina Figueroa, also of One Shot http://www.oneshottattoo.com/Karina.htm, but I'd rather post that when it's finished.
I highly recommend One Shot.  It's a great place with a very friendly vibe, and one of my best friends is apprenticing there to boot!

Gorgeous! I love the colors! I went to One Shot on someone's recommendation--maybe yours--and loved it too. Great shop.
