A ways back someone shared a tattoo shop that seemed to specialize in nature tattoos.  I think they were in California? Their work was really beautiful and I want to tell a friend about them but now I can't find the post! Roll Eyes

I have been checking this board for a while now and I finally got around to taking some decent pictures of my tattoo. I got it for my 21st birthday (a year and a half ago). The first thing everyone asks me is if I plan on getting it colored in. I like it the way it is, and I don't think I'd ever be able to choose colors anyways.  It reminds me of a coloring book picture.  They're supposed to be carnations, which I have always liked because they are so common but really beautiful.  It was done by Dan at True Art in Santa Cruz, California.

Sorry the photos are kind of dark, but you get the idea.

Sewandsew - do you ever let people colour in your tat with markers?  I would have endless fun with that at parties.

sewandsew, I love that! It's simply beautiful. I know just what you mean about it looking like an illustration. It kind of looks like one you would see in a nature biology book or something. Very cool.
