After much poking from aliastriona I have decided to post my first tattoo.  I got it last Thursday at Body Ink in Wilmington, North Carolina by Micha Day.  I highly recommend him.   He was very patient with my attempts at conveying just what I wanted on my leg.  Very nice and cute too.   Wink

Oh, and Batgirl, this is the tattoo that I talked to you about.  Thanks again for your advice although nothing could have truly prepared me for the sensation of the tattoo needles above my ankle bone.  Gaah.

The roots are wrapped around my ankle bone like they would a rock.  I didn't like the idea of a floating tree just hanging out without any grounding.  I'm thrilled by the way it came out.

I look forward to hearing everyone's opinions!   Cheesy

So many things fail to interest us, simply because they don't find in us enough surfaces on which to live, and what we have to do then is to increase the number of planes in our mind, so that a much larger number of themes can find a place in it at the same time.

You are too kind, darling.  I value your opinion on all things, but especially art-related ones, your words make me feel very happy because if it has won your approval it must be well done.   Cheesy

I love your tree. It looks as though it could be a signpost. Something to lead your feet in the directions kismet has planned.

Kismet is one of my favorite words.   Smiley  Before I decided on my tree, I was concerned that my tattoo experience would not turn out as I had hoped but once I decided, I felt very peaceful.  Even while I was sitting in the chair before we got started, I felt very quiet.  I made the right decision.   Smiley

Wow!  I love it - especially the way-fairing lanterns. [Ugh - I can't spell - you know what I mean]  Cheesy
