ok so im a little late replying to all this..i used to work at a nursing home wherei work t shirts that showed my chest tattoo and flip flops that showed my feet tattoos..there was never a problem..hair dyed..facial piercing..i had it all..and i made good money too..my parents thought that my life was over and i would have to curl up and die when i got my chest done..but it hasnt stopped my with any jobs...i worked at a bank that i wore 300.00 suits with a chest tattoo sticking out..no one ever treated me differently..and right now i work in the ER and have my arms done...i generally wear longs sleeves, because its FREEZING in there...but theres ddays when i pull them up and there they are...my chest piece will pretty much always stick out of any shirt but thats me...and if im doing a good job and theres no one saying anything there isnt a problem...we had our christmas party at this swanky martini bar and there i was with a little tanktop sweater shirt showing them all off..when going out to eat i dress with whatever and if they show they show..people sometimes need to realize that not all of us with tattoos are bad, into drugs, or whatever...some of us are very smart and successful...ok im done..

Meowari...is that one of your kitties? I think that is totally the sweetest idea. I've been thinking about that forever...I know I've talked about it in this thread tons of times and the more I see pet tats, the more I really want one....
It's a portrait of the cat I had while I was growing up, Peggy Sue. She was my best friend, and I still get teary-eyed thinking about her being gone... I'm very happy with the tattoo so far, and hopefully I'll be getting it finished in about 2 weeks. It's hard to get portraits right, especially of animals, but my tattoo artist did a great job. The pictures I posted are a little distorted, but it really does look like her.

It's very well done, meowari. I can't wait to see it finished!

I want your promo stickers...your fave local band, your etsy shop, your zine, a sticker you picked off a bar wall, or even bumper stickers! I'm covering a table & need stickers! PM me!

Here is one of my tattoos.

It extends from my mid-arm to across my chest and I have a couple more on my back and other shoulder.  I just can't take pictures of them.  This picture does not do the tattoo justice.  It was a sorta cover up of the black symbol but not a cover up 'cause it incorporates the design.  There are lots of beautiful lotus flowers.

I was inspired to post by the discussion on jobs and tattoos.  I have a suit-type job.  No problems with the tattoos because I wear a suit everyday but I feel the need to incorporate tattoos/piercings/etc. in the "conservative" workforce.  I don't show my tattoos at work but I roam freely with them in my off-hours.

I will try to get a better pic up.  It was hard to take this pic by myself.  The lotus flowers are stunning.  The color depth is amazing.  The artist that did it is so inspiring.  He had to incorporate 2 older tattoos and he did it with splendor.

I am an analyst/manager in a very, very conservative office (but lots of secretly tattooed people!) that interacts with the public daily.  I love my job and my tattoos and I was inspired by your post a couple of pages back to post.
