I don't know if this idea has been suggested or not so I'll see what you say.

Recently a friend of mine at uni had a birthday and me and my friends wanted to get a little surprise cake and food stuffs doovie happening at uni for the group of us. And one girl had this great idea that she'd heard elsewhere of getting food or a present for each letter of the persons name...the birthday girl this time's nickname was Gumby soooo....we did...

G- gummi fruit lollies (we couldn't get gummi bears at the time)
U- paper umbrellas
M- m&ms and a mudcake
B- a big helium Balloon
Y- yoghurt gums

And we arranged it all on a table and gave her a lovely surprise! (We ate waaaaaaay too much sugar!)

I just thought it was a great idea and I really wanted to share it with you and maybe we could put together an alphabet of gift ideas for those of us who get stuck...ours was mostly food but it would work well with anything!!

You could burn a compilation of songs starting with 'Y'? Or a yellow journal maybe?
