I don't think I'm going to go with my original idea, so it's up for grabs if any of you have as awful taste as I do.

Dress as a carrot. Tell everyone "Guess what I am!!" When they say carrot, say "Nope! I'm Terry Schiavo!"

Anyway, I need help brainstorming, and I thought I'd make another thread just for fleeting ideas that maybe we can help each other pull together, if anyone's interested.

I'm looking for something really simple that I can wear to my classes and to work on Halloween.  Last year was the same deal, and I made a dino hoodie to wear. That's the kind of thing I'm looking for, I guess. Any ideas? I'm hoping for something simple, but maybe not something that's been done a million times over. Anyone have any ideas?

I'll add ideas of my own when as I think of them.

hmm.. get some grey material or cheap blank fabric you can paint, fold it in half, wack a hole in the top, and voila! a knight's tabbard. (do up the sides... for pics, they were big in the 60's I think.. thats what the knitting patterns seem to indicate anyway)

for halloween, draw chain mail draw a crest or something (hence cheap fabric) and wear a skivvy or something underneath, get a broom for a horse, and voila! knight of the round table.. or something.. I don't know, I don't really do halloween here..

good luck!

Roll in mud and go as a butthole?

Khaki shorts and a barb in your chest--Steve Irwin?

What other revered dead people do we have?

Are you suggesting that coconuts migrate?

I THINK she's talking about Monty Python's The Holy Grail...so she can sound like a horse...ha ha ha... still makes me laugh.

I actually laughed out loud about the butthole one but I'm not sure if that would be too sanitary OR comfortable.  But I lol.

How about a billiard ball which is a stuffed white sweatshirt or gathered sheet with a house number glued to it and perhaps a strip and then run around hitting eveything and "going into pockets".  It helps if this is done in a group but I don't think completely necessary.  I saw this years and years ago and it was very effective with a cue ball.

hah. I love the responses I've got so far. Keep it up, guys.

LOLMegan: It could be carried by an African swallow! Grin

I like the Steve Irwin idea. And a holy hand grenade would be fun to make. Cheesy

I suppose I could wear a sweatsuit with the bones stencilled on. You know, like a skeleton costume, a la  Nicole Richie! heh. That would be fun and easy. Or I could be Lindsay Lohan in that costume if I just wiped some baby powder under my nose.

Ok, this is probably beyond tasteless, like, actually offensive, but I knew someone who wore scrubs and carried a cupie doll in a jar...
