This is not swap related, but I must say this.
I hate all jobs that force you to use the term" pulling a double"...I feel for you, Hookin Flamingo, I truly do.

I pulled a double this past saturday, It seems like with college the only time i have to get 20 hours a week is to spend three shifts working about 5-8 hours at a time. I work in a restaraunt so shifts are a lot different than most places.

Well this is the 1st job i have had in almost 6 years (I have not worked since 3 days before my son was born)
And I have gone from teaching special ed at the state mental hospital to waiting tables.
It is more just for something to get me out of the house and extra money for crafts and when the kids needs something for school.
Justthe other day my daughter brough home an order form for a $55 yearbook. So I know son will be bring one home soon. Undecided

I didn't mean what I said in an ugly or demeaning way at all. I have worked a lot of restaurants and a lot of retail and I think the people in those fields are grossly underappreciated...That was all.

My partner received Friday so here is some of what I sent:

What I started with:
~4 hand towels (kiwi green was my partners favorite color) $4
~1 pair of socks $1
~1 bag of cotton balls $1
~2 skeins of white yarn I got later $2
Total = $8

What I made from it:

My partners 2 favorite crafts are sewing & scrapbooking so I made her a bag to carry all her scrapbook supplies in. Made a little bigger than 8.5x11 & the closure is extra big so you can cram it full. I also made a matching wallet, a pair of hand knitted slippers, and 2 pin cushions (what the sock and cotton balls were used for) I didnt get pics before I sent of those unfortunatly

The inside showing the pocket for pens.

motleycruiser: That bag is just way to awesome.  The colours are great and I never would have thought of something like that!

cucumber1137: I love those candle holders!
