Ok, I broke down and purchased a Japanese book off ebay. Man it was expensive but once I got the book and looked at it and then made one item I have to admit it was well worth it!!!! This little scrubber, dishcloth I think, is just so darn cute.  Here is a photo of the scrubber

and the book cover

I made the koala out of regular peaches and cream cotton dishcloth yarn.  now to make a bunny up tonight....

Ok, do Japanese people REALLY use something THIS CUTE to scrub their pots and pans with?Huh

And to think I've wasted 10's of dollars on sponges when I could have had koalas...   Cheesy

Awesome book and koala!

I just bought the same book on my trip to San Francisco!  I can't wait to get home so I can make the penguin, giraffe and lion.  These are super cute patterns though I'm not sure I'll actually use them to wash anything- they are just too cute for that!  Great job on your koala!

Yes you're right, I want to puke over the cuteness of these.  Who woulda thunk it- animal scrubbies.  I would feel kind of guilty though, rubbing the cute little animal faces on my dirty dishes.

I've got tons of peaches n' cream yarn, I think I'll make some scrubbies-sorta wing it without instructions.  Thanks for the idea!

Just keep the animal faces towards you and rub their backs on the dirty dishes.   Wink   That way you can do dishes with a cute little animal smiling at you.  Smiley

Good idea about using the backs to do dishes!  I wish I could find some of the other books from this series.

Cute potscrubber!  I've seen that book too and wondered about purchasing it.  Next time, try ordering from YesAsia. http://us.yesasia.com/en/Index.aspx  The prices are much more reasonable and shipping  is free over $25.  I just ordered like 10 books for under $70.  You can try searching for ISBN numbers,  Sometimes they don't include a cover photo, so you have to order with blind faith.

I couldn't actually find the potscrubber book just now, but the amigurumi books are only $11.50 from YesAsia.

my kids actually like washing the dishes since we started using the cute tawashi instead of a rag.  I keep them in a little basket near the sink.
