So I read about making knitted hemp cloths for scrubbing and such. When I got in the shop I must have had som kind of blackout 'cause when I got home I had unspun flax with me.
It's ok to knit with, but does anyone know if it's any good for scrubbing? Does it have any of the selfcleaning features that hemp has?
Anyone? Please help!

they make linen from flax, and it's a pretty tough fiber. Not as tough as hemp, though.

I've knit with both linen and flax, and they both get softer with wear. Which is great for clothing, but not so good for scrubbing.

Ok, thanks. I've more or less decided not to make cloths out of flax anyway since the smell like wet horse or something when damp. It's horrible when you have a small bathroom. It worked nicely for scrubbing your face though. Still, I'll use it for dolls hair or something instead, and try to get som good hemp instead.
