I frogged it and redid it myself.  I much prefer it this way, also with the 1x1 ribbing on the sides as the hood doesn't curl in at all now.

I was thinking of doing a cable around the hood, I did a similar thing with Knitscene's "central park hoodie"

I'm curious as to what you mean with the yoke shaping and the 13 BO, did you just leave it out?
I'm no where near done. . . about 8" on the sleeves.
I haven't been working on it a whole lot.

Yes, I just did not do the 13 BO stitches at the beginning of the hood/end of the yoke.  This means I had more stitches in my hood.  I did not bother to decrease to get rid of the stitches(Actually I didn't really bother following the hood guidelines at all but just winged it and it turned out fine).

I think a small cable like the ones on the cuffs would be kind of cute around the edge of the hood. I am definitely frogging mine and redoing it now. Also, if anyone is interested, there are FO pictures of my Mariah here.

1. I love the color for your Mariah.  I hope you like it once you redo the hood.  I like mine MUCH more now.  It only took me like, a week tops to redo it too--it's so much stockinette, it's TV watching knitting.

2.  I really, really love your red minisweater variation.  You know that Cotton Ease is coming back in new colors?  One of the ladies who posts on Passionknit blog contacted the company and the told her it's the troof.

3.  Love you blog and I'm totally subscribing to it.

COTTON EASE IS COMING BACK?! Best news of my life! I love that stuff so much. I randomly found a bunch in white at Tuesday Morning the other day, and it turned a bad day into a good one.

Thank you for all the compliments! I like the grey color a lot (obviously!  Wink ) because it's heathered. It can go with a lot of stuff, and I am a definite mix-and-matcher.  The minisweater is probably my favorite thing that I have knit so far. It makes me just want to wing everything and make it up as I go along. Also, I'm glad to hear you like my blog! I am subscribing to yours as well. It has reminded me that I need to make myself a button ...

Now I really want to go back and redo the hood, right this very second. I have so much on my knitting plate, though. Too many WsIP!

WHAT?! More Cotton-Ease?! Seriously? OMG, I hope so! Although I hope they bring back some of the old colors, too... I loved several of those. This news totally makes my day!

You can still buy some of the old colors of Cotton-Ease at www.smileysyarns.com.  I got 6 skeins of the darker blue.

Oh, believe me, I know... lol. I've just spent almost the whole $40 required for an order on Cotton-Ease, and am considering buying more. I love the stuff!

Cotton-ease coming back?! Yippie!!  I hope they come back in good colors too.

Anyway, I haven't had much time knitting this (working on Sock wars and then a swap) but this is how far I've gotton on the sleeves.
