What an awesome thread to start. You are a genius.
I have only been on etsy about a month. No sales yet. I think my prices are too high. How is a girl supposed to make a buck??  Sad

jenuinearticles, i totally agree with selling your work for enough to pay yourself, but sometimes that means people want more info. the earrings are really pretty, though i can't wear them (i have tunnels). but maybe you should give people more info. are they silver plated, purer silver, etc? maybe the size would help people picture them on?

everyone has great stuff that isn't selling! i just opened my shop, and sold one thing right away, but nothing else has moved.

kattghoti, I have been secretly lusting for that journal. The pictures don't do it justice, I think - the angle in the first picture makes it hard to see the print of the kittens clearly, and the second one looks dark. I still want it though.  Smiley

If you don't mind a little constructive criticism, you might get more sales if you mentioned how big things are, like that your wrap skirt fits from an 25" hip to a 40" hip, and is 30 inches long (I have no idea how big your items actually are, so that's just an example).  Small purses can be anywhere from credit card sized  to 10x6" (my average size purse that my mother thinks is drastically too small).  Hope this helps!
