Hi! I had a great find in someone's trash - 2 Henry Miller chairs! The only thing is that they are in really bad shape, and I want to get them reupholstered. I tried to take the fabric off one and made a vinyl cover using those pieces as patterns but it's all floppy. It needs to be glued to the padding for the chair, this I cannot do myself! I have searched online for places that do this in boston, cambridge, watertown, etc. only to find quotes of $300+ for each chair!! Anyone know of some little hidden gem I have missed who can do this for less? Thanks!

I know this is totally random, but I read an article in the Globe maybe a year ago about a local prison (I don't know which one but definately metro Boston) that re-apolsters furniture as their work program. The article was about how it was great job training etc. etc. And, yes the public can bring their furniture to be done. . .

Only problem is I don't know the name of the prison or project. Could still be expensive too.

Oh, wait, here's the article:

It's not super cheap but sounds like an interesting program.

I really really really would love to have Interweave Knits Spring 2007 for those Eunny Chang entrelac socks. . . Does anyone want to swap for it?! I have yarn, I can sew, embroider, knit.
