Did you use felt from the store, or did you needle felt it?  I love your embroidery, too!

Thank you! I just used regular acrylic craft felt from the store.

Thanks! I actually take that as a compliment... I sort of have this "thing" for mushrooms (no, not the hallucinatory kind haha) and mushroom-related items, and a big interest in mycology.

I actually bought the polka-dotted felt with intentions to make mushroom pincushions but I thought it might work well for this too.

The base of the pincushion is about 3 and 1/4" across and about 1 and 3/4" high. Including the miniatures, at it's tallest point (the wine bottle) it's about 5" tall.

Thank you for your compliments! I really have been meaning to make the shrinky dinks but I have a hard time following through with one project before wanting to start another one. I really should get on that though... considering her birthday was in early August. haha

oh no, don't be shy. your crafts are splenderiffic! i'm really inspired to make more felty stuff, i got a sheet of every colour from the craft store today. the stuffies i made with the kids this weekend were such a hit we're going to do it again!

That is the coolest pin cushion ever. If I made one for myself, that would be it.  Maybe after the holidays (yeah, I know, it's only September, but I'm already thinking I'll be busy until Jan at least!).
