Please post your pics!! I'm anxious to see what your finished bags look like!

Btw- thanks everyone for the comments. I really love the silkyness to the fabric and the shine to the designs.

Absolutely yarnhag, lining your knitted or crocheted bags is necessary for all the reasons that Nerfernie said.  A knitted piece has so much "give" and the lining helps it keep its shape when you start to put all of your stuff into the bag.  domUNIQUE, You're so right about the professional look it will give the bag as well.
There are tutorials on inserting a purse lining in the Purses, Bags, Wallets board on craftster that would be easy enough for a non-sewer to attempt.

kewl.  I'll look forward to learning about linings when I get around to making this bag.  The best part of this bag is garnstudio.com which I had never before seen... lots of absolutely gorgeous stuff!  I'm so excited!

My bag's done, well almost - it's just not lined yet.  I won't have time this weekend to go shopping for fabric because it's Canadian Thanksgiving.  In the meantime, I plan to use my bag this weekend - yes, unlined - and I'll just put keys and other poky things in a zipped make-up bag inside.

I've had this bag in mind for a friend of mine for some time and I'm going to cast on this weekend.  I'm going to be on the hunt for some tweedy black yarn.

I started this bag about a week ago (its sharing my time with an almost finished clapotis) and I'm using Patons Classic wool in dark gray mix.  I'm using #4 needles and the yarn is a bit thicker than the Eskimo used in the pattern but I like how the cables are popping and the tightness of the weave.  I'll post a picture soon.   I would love to have it done for the Sheep and Wool Festival on Oct. 21st but its a bit slow go because of the tightness.  But I'm glad to find this KAL - motivates me to get cabling!
