those are the coolest shoes I've ever seen and now I have hatched an evil plan to make my own.

These rock my world.  I really really really want a pair to call my own!  They would put my plaid, normal-ish ones to shame.

I made a pair!
They knitted up so quickly! I shocked myself  Grin

So, I don't have any old Chucks just lying around, but I saw a pair in Target for..

$16!

So mummy got them for me  Roll Eyes and I picked out this pretty reddish-pinkish yarn from kmart (on sale too  Cheesy)
Here's everything..

Close up of the yarn:

They're done!

That's the only picture I have of them right now, I was too excited to take any more!
I didn't cut off all of the red canvas stuff, in these ones they had a sort of thickened.. thing at the back. I don't know the proper terminology, I am probably not making much sense, but I left that, so  it kind of supports the heel, I guess.

I love them!

Can't wait to wear them out!
Thank you SO much for the pattern!

I just love this idea so much. You are truly a genius for coming up with it.

Though like others, I can't really stomach the idea of cutting up my beloved chucks. I'll have to get a cheaper version, but then I'll definitely give ithis a go.

It's great to see that others were able to get such phantastic results.

TheBeckster, those look nice too!

I would like to try this, but I can't imagine cutting up my shoes. Shocked And my mom wouldn't allow it either.
