Who makes Websites? - Zen Cart questions.

Hi, all! I'm looking to see if anyone uses or makes websites with Zen Cart? I've done my site up with it and it's a mess. I hate the way it looks, and I can't figure it out. I'm an HTML girl, but adding the products is so easy with ZenCart. I can't find any tutorials I like, or any free templates. I wrote Arianne at Aeolidia Design about doing one, because I've seen she's done others, but you could have knocked me over with a feather when she told me her price! $500 for a prefab with no alterations, upwards of $1000 to $2000 for a regular site. Being computer savvy, my heart cannot take this! (Nor can my wallet...I don't even make $1000 in one month with my part time job.) So, I was wondering if anyone sold prefabs or templates cheaper than that? I can generally find my way around enough to change graphics and such, but I want a very simple site.

It's extremely simple, which is what I want.

I thought I'd end up paying $500 for a site, but not a prefab. As gorgeous as they are, Aeolidia Designs is just WAY out of my budget. Especially since I'm not even bringing in much more than $20 or $30 a month with my etsy shop or button sales.

Does anyone have any suggestions of where to buy templates or get web help? I'm trying to steer clear of the businessy ones that show up when you type your search into google...

let me ask my hubby, he's a programmer and I know he's designed sites before, and I'm pretty sure he's worked with the Zen cart.  I don't know all the technical aspects of what he does, he sets up and maintains my site, but when he gets in I'll find out for you, then send ya a pm.

no clue what ZENcart is  but I used  bravehost.com it has fill in the  blank and color templates and  you can do by pic or by html.... I  barely know how to type and set  up the one I liked.....  but  I  also picked a very simple free design.  good luck.

jlove, ZenCart is the shopping cart system that is on my website. (You can see it at titancia.net... Excuse the mess. I'm embarassed to send anyone there!) I'm pretty good with HTML, but when it comes to altering something with another programming language, I get so confused!

not a problem.  I do graphic design, so I might know of some places to get templates too, but just gotta wait till DH is home to find out if he knows about ZenCart

http://www.techdevils.com/php/  is  what i used   they have many buttons to  choose from....  and ways to set it up. I am  very computer illiterate  and  made it  work.  it  also allows for  multipule  purchases.   I like  oyur  buttons.....  I have one question are the  buttons  like pins  or  buttons  like  for  sewing?

That's a pretty cool PayPal button generator! That would have been handy the way I had my site before. ZenCart has an admin area that automatically does that when you add a new product.

Thank you! ^_^ They are pin buttons. I used to have photo examples up, but since I haven't learned how to straighten ZenCart out, I don't have a place for them. ><

Here is a front view of a few pins I made when the last Harry Potter movie came out. It's about all I can find right now on my photo bucket account... I'll have to take better photos this weekend. I have 3 sizes: 1", 1-1/2" and 2-1/4", and the biggest size can even make pocket mirrors. I LOVE my button makers.

oh ok !  well darn I was hoping they would be  sewing  buttons  loved the jupiter ? (one of the planets)  that  was  beautiful.
