Looks like I'm going to take up embroidery.
I'll be placing an order soon!

Does the Cat-a-Rama thing look familiar to anyone else? I could have sworn I've seen it in a magazine.

I think those patterns were pictured in an article on Jenny's stuff.  Bust maybe?  Or Ready-Made?

Yes, and yes. Both Bust and ReadyMade have featured my Cat-a-Rama patterns before.

Thanks for all the support, and orders! It really, really helps!!

I'm really sorry some one did this to you. My mom is a Primitive doll maker and she got out of the pattern business because people were buying up her patterns and repackaging them and reselling them as fast as they could copy them. She is now in the doll supply business. Kind of sad she was so good at pattern making.  Sad

I posted your info and story on the Knitter's Review (http://www.knittersreview.com) website. There is always discussion of copyright infringement there and knitters like to help out...

It really sucks that some corporate company that manufactures its clothes in sweatshops in India is also ripping their designs from independent artists as well. I truly hope that you are successful in this struggle; it is great that you have the crafting community behind you!

Now, I have to go place my order! Smiley

Dang, that is just bad ju-ju to be doing something like that. It is great to read that everyone (me too) is behind you. Go get 'em babe!! Oh, and I agree with Girleypirate: Kill them.

OMG How horrible! I wish I could say I can't believe it but, sadly, corporate greed happens far too often!

I hope you sue the pants (and shirts and socks) off of them!

I know you can't say specifically but are there certain *types* of stores I should be scouting? Are they appearing in national chains or boutiques? Oh, this just makes me sick and SO MAD!

I swear every time an idea becomes successful in the craft community, it mysteriously shows up in Wal-Mart or Target a year or two later. Gah! I'm so happy you're an organized business woman that can kick their asses!

I'll have to figure out which patterns I don't have yet and order those as a show of support! Smiley
