The good news is that I made a hat today, but the bad news is that it is a tad too big. I used the adult small pattern, but its too big. Is there a way I can make it just a bit smaller and still fit my head?

Well, it depends on what the other yarn is. The yarn I sent is feltable. So, you could try to felt it down a little by hand [more control that way!]. OR, the other option is to frog it and start over, altering your pattern to fit the guage. It's cute though!

It just needs a little bit, so frogging may not work for me if felting can. I used Lion Brand Homespun yarn as the other one. How do I felt it?

homespun is acrylic and won't felt. Which means that the homespun parts will stay the same if you felt the merino.

It honestly doesn't look that bad to me, size-wise.

And it's gorgeous yarn!

You could run some elastic thread through it (on the inside of course) if you didn't want to frog it and start agan.

TheBon sent it to me! I wish I could get a better pic of all the detail in it! I have to charge my camera though.
Its just barely to big. If a big breeze blew, it'd probably fall off. If my hair was down and unstraightened it would be a perfect fit, but i hardly ever have the patience to let my hair down like that.

You could run some elastic thread through it (on the inside of course) if you didn't want to frog it and start agan.

Thats a neat idea! That might make it work! I'm going to try it right now!
