Using "rub ons" for decorating..........

Question..... A long long long time ago I saw a technique on "lynette jennings show" (like i said a lonnnnnngggggg time ago ) LMAO I think I was like 15.... LOL Anyways... she used this inkjet paper to print letters onto then she used a popsicle stick to burnish the letter from the paper onto the wall. It is kinda like the "rub ons " used for scrapbooking..... I can't remember the name of the paper and every craft store looks at me like I am dipsy. We used this technique on my aunts house so I know it did exist at one point.... I loved this.... Anyone have any suggestions.... ideas? I would prefer not to stencil because the letters I want to use are way too detailed for it to look right.  I really wanna do the whole 'rub on ' thing!

I haven't a clue what the name is, I've never even heard of it. But maybe you're looking in the wrong place for it. Have you tried an office supply store or something like that??? Worth a shot, right?

glad i could help. you could also do a search on google, for "inkjet decal paper" to see if you can find it cheaper.

I have personally used their waterslide decal paper and their rub-on paper for inkjets with excellent results.

i've done this with acetate (it comes in big bottles at the hardware store) and images printed off of inkjet. it takes some trial and error to get it right.
