Hi Everyone!

I've started my etsy account, but find that my photos are lacking in quality, especially compared to everyone elses (and it appears only good photographs appear in the "Featured" section).

SO! I was wondering if anyone had any tips on making a good photograph true to products color/shade/tint?  Like...types of lighting, background colors/texture ya know.

I think you might be your own worst critic.  Smiley  I think your pictures could use a little better lighting perhaps, but they are much better than I expected after reading your post!

Here's a wonderful tutorial for a homemade (and CHEAP) lightbox on Craftster: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=75541.msg708843#msg708843

Other than that, have you tried taking your photos outdoors?  Natural lighting is a wonderful solution.  Sunny days can be your best friend.  Smiley  I know sarawearsskirts takes all of her bag photos outside and she was just featured yesterday (and she is here on Craftster)

I agree!  Your snail and madallion bags were probably the worst of your photos and they're still not bad at all.  And natural light might help you out.   I like your work by the way.

I have another question about photos, I hope you don't mind that I'm tacking it on to this post... I'm just wondering if it's better to have a listing with a not-so-great photo than it is to not have an item listed at all. There are a few things on my shop that don't have the nicest pics and I want to know if I should remove them until I take better ones.
