Very, very cool!

I'd love to know what conference you went to as well - we're a home/unschooling family!

And I'm not surprised there were henna art classes - the homeschool community can be amazingly diverse!

i forgot to say, it was an unschooling event so all the classes we went to were so fun, it wasn't like they're trying to force knowledge into you, you just learn by living and doing what you like to do

I wanna know how the heck you got the henna to work!! Every single time I have ever tried to do henna myself, it has only ever come out as a pale orange!!

And being a former homeschooled/unschooled kid, I am not surprised at all that they had henna classes at the conference! Cheesy Sounds like an awesome one, and why didn't my mom ever go to it? (Of course, I finished school like 15 years ago; they prob didn't exist then, lol!)

well it works for me when i put lemon juice on it. and you shouldn't pick it off when it drys (if you do) the longer you leave it on the darker it will be, even if when the dry parts fall of its light, it always gets darker for me over time.like, i put henna on in the afternoon and by night it was dark colored. and it not getting dark for you might just be what henna you are using, like what it has in it and stuff.

I guess the conventions my mom took me to were too conservitive to ever allow something fun like henna. Thanks for the tips about letting it stay on the last time I did henna it didn't come out that well. Have to try it again. How safe is it for small children?

I think its safe for kids, maybe even animals... Most henna kits have natural ingredients...

i cant say that i know that henna is completely safe for kids, but i really don't know why it wouldn't be....actually at the henna class very small children were getting henna tattoos... and some people were getting them done on their faces...
