I just got my sewing machine last weekend, but I've been itchin' to stich all week.  Today, I made the sleep mask from Amy Butler's In Stitches!

And here's me wearing it (I look awful, but pretend I just woke up Wink):

I had some problems stitching evenly around the edges, especially the topstitching.  I love the projects in this book.

So, what do you think?

Me thinks I will have to go and buy that book! I have been trying my own sleep mask with not much sucess..... My problem is the topstitching too! From what I understand though, practice makes perfect! Cheesy Grin

Keep going and have fun!

Wow thats detailed. I just made my husbands superman and fleece sleeping mask with elastic to slip around his head afew days ago but it looks pretty crappy compared to yours! Yours is much more formal.

It was my first time doing any kind of quilting, and it was a pain in the ass...well, drawing the quilting lines was.  And it's a simple construction, but the quilting makes it look more fancy.  I love the material I found!

I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.  I'm hoping to do a skirt tomorrow.  An easy skirt.
