Why is he screaming?  What terrible thing did he see or hear that causes that look of abject horror on his face?  This icon of the expressionistic art movement evokes so much emotion in so many people. He is like a wreck on the freeway, you can't stop looking.

Thanks guys

glittergirl - I didn't keep track of my stitches with him.  He was all free form.  I can tell you that when I was going around I would decrease on one side and then increase on the other side of the same row to get him to twist.

OMG! That is very cool. How did you get his little body to look all wavy? I have always thought that to be a very cool painting. Great job.

He is twisty because I increased on one side of the row and then decreased the same number of stitches on the other side of the row.  He will bend the direction of the increases

Are there any hints you can give me about making him? How is it that his head so flat but his nose protrudes? Is his body flat also? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Unfortunately the pattern has been submitted for publication.  If it is rejected, I would be happy to explain about it.

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.
