Honestly?? 1-  It would look a lot better if you used colors that matched.  2- used abbrev's that are actually used in tutorials for stitches.
It keeps things less confusing.

Other than that, you did good.

The colors in the picture are actually not completely accurate to what the colors looked like "in person", but still, I like bright colors, contrast, and mixing brights with neutrals.  That's just my taste!

I'm not sure what abbreviations you mean for stitch patterns other than the ones I used.  I've been crocheting for about 20 years, and those are the abbreviations I've always seen in patterns (e.g. sc=single crochet, hdc=half double crochet, sk st=skip stitch, and so on).  Are there different abbreviations that are commonly used?

Thanks for the input Smiley

Melinda

I think it's great!  I'm so impressed you made up a granny square.  although there is nothing "granny" about this square.

great work as usual, xmelinda

It is a beautiful, intricate design...but as was said before, the colors are a little off.  If it's the photo, I understand...but I think so many colors make it look a little too busy.  I love the design itself, but perhaps using half as many colors would tone it down a bit while not losing the delicacy.

Know what I mean?

Awesome job, nonetheless. Smiley

That's gorgeous.  Wish I had the patience for lots of color changes; motifs look so much cooler in contrast colors.  Nice design work!
