If you mean changing themes, that doesn't change the problem areas for me. Which is specifically the contrast level between text and background on posts.

I have a very difficult time with bright backgrounds and dark text.  It renders it virtually impossible for me to read for any length of time because my vision will blur.  It would be wonderful if we could make a theme that has a dark background and light text (sort of like old telnet connections).

So many things fail to interest us, simply because they don't find in us enough surfaces on which to live, and what we have to do then is to increase the number of planes in our mind, so that a much larger number of themes can find a place in it at the same time.

I'm having some difficulty with the contrast [it is pretty high with such a light blue background] but I would have more problems if it were dark with a light text. That makes my eyes cross, and from a vision standpoint is technically just as bad. I think my main issue is the weight of the font. If it were a little heavier [not talking bold] also, on this computer with win xp, and firefox [whatever the newest version is] it looks just like melesse's screengrab.

HELP!  All I'm getting is a white background with blue and black text.  All the icons to click on are little red x's.  I'm going blind!!
How do I get it to look normal!?
Thanks!

Oh, by no means was I asking for it to be the default theme!  My eyes are just wonky like that and I thought that I would throw it out in case anyone else had similar eye-issues.

I've seen some boards that have a little scroll bar of color themes (ones that don't change the actual layout, just simply the colors) that are pre-made but that offer a wider range of options.

I'm really amused by the astronomical numbers of daily posts our profiles now say we make.  Like "Total Posts: 224 (429 per day)."  And "Total Posts:  952 (3724 per day)."  We must all be really busy posters lately!

Craftster has those, just not in a scroll bar.  Click on your Profile tab, then go to "Look and Layout Preferences" (which is under "Modify Your Profile" on the left side of the screen).  There are a bunch of different options; some alter the layout, but others just change the colors.  The last one in the list does affect the layout, and it's mostly black on white--but it looks like it uses a heavier font.

Hey, Leah (thanks, btw), I don't know if anyone's mentioned this or not, but when you click on the "new" icon in bookmarks, it takes you to the first page of that thread, not the newest post.
Clicking the icon sends you to http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=00000.from;topicseen#new (which takes you to page one of post # 00000) instead of http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=00000.new;topicseen#new (which will take you to the newest entry for post # 00000)
