thank you! i was knitting away at it, and was just beginning to think the colors were too loud, and that whoever saw it with the baby in question would go "ugh. TACKY."

So, as a newish knitter I have started two of these blankets.  Yes, dumb I know!  I seem to always start a project in a few yarn choices to see how they work.  The first is all blue and very pretty.

However, the second one I was thinking of using different colors in the center.  Is it difficult?  Everyone else's looks beautiful!  Can someone outline how to change the colors at the end of the seed stitch on each row?  Do I need to carry the strands of the other yarn?  I only have basic skills (knit/purl) so be gentle.  Type like I am extremely stupid.

General information:  I am using 2 strands of Bernat Baby Softee for the border (yellow & white) and I would like to continue with two strands of blue in the center.  I can link a pic of my progress so far (I am almost finished with the 20 rows of seed stitch)
