While at the children's museum last weekend, I noticed a stylish mother across the room carrying the most AMAZING bag. I had to have it.

This is the Cherella Boho bag that stylish mommy was carrying:

So, using the supplies I had on hand, I came up with my own version using the Amy Butler (i'm such a fan of her easy-peasy patterns) Swing Bag pattern.

Detail:

I'm pleased! I'm excited to make more that look more like the original.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks. I did the flowers and petals out of the softest felt I'd ever felt...  Huh

The fabric is great!! I love how it looks like a "sky", but has the floral detail to tie in the flower you put on there. I like how playful it is.

This is really cute! Cheesy  Great job on the applique, too!!
I don't know where you live, but those round rings are sold at a place near me (in Lancaster County, PA) called Flower and Craft Warehouse.  But you could probably get them at other craft stores, too.

Please post the pics of your next bag, if you do make more?? Smiley

Thanks for the nice words! You are all beautiful.

We've got the most amazing decor fabric outlet here in Utah and I found some black with gold filigre all over it for only $3 a yard.  I love upholstery fabric because you don't have to use canvas or interfacing. LOVE IT!! Shocked
The local JoAnne's was out of rings, so I'll have to search elsewhere. I'll be sewing it up this weekend. I've made a pattern for a rounder bag, too. Smiley I love how productive I get when I'm excited.

Thanks again.
