I had another look at this to see which parts you crocheted with yarn- and a question popped up in my head! Did you use more bags to stuff the snowman, or something else? Polyester fiberfill maybe? Once again, brilliant job!

For the stuffing I lined the snowman with a white trash bag and then stuffed grocery bags into that.  I did it this way so that he would be okay to go outside.  Fiberfill would rot a lot quicker if it got wet.

What a great idea!  Have been saving plastic bags (and while I mostly take my own canvas bags to the store, between the times I don't, salvaging other people's bags, and the one's my mother's given me, I've got two large shopping bags overflowing with them) figuring to crochet them into...well, bags, but this would be SO much more fun.  Thanks!
