My friend Mardi put in a request for an ami for a friend's new bub, the outline she gave me was "make a monster" so I came up with this tubby fella. Many thanks to Pureeva for the directions for making the puppet style mouth & the popcorn stitch thumbs.

Oh cool beans!  He's the most harmless, loveable monster I've seen today.
I LOVE the puppet mouth!

Thanks, he was fun to make too. I've become a bit of a fan of the puppet-mouth so will prolly be using that technique lots more now I know how to do it.

I chuckled a little when I saw this guy. He's so cute and looks so peaceful and friendly. I like how his hands are huge Grin.

Me too, and the Comic Book Guy figurine.  Good job on the ami.  How was the puppet mouth done?

Thanks!  I find the instructions a bit confusing (after the part about making a hemisphere), but I see that someone else has already asked  for help, so I'll keep watching that thread.
