Here's my coffee cup from Pimpernel Smith. It's perfect because I was just told by another teacher that I'd look older (and the kids would take me more seriously) if I started carrying around a coffee cup.  Roll Eyes

Ha ha--the kids might want to use that cup--it is so clever! Pimpernel Smith--What kind of paint sticks to something like a mug?  I think a personalized mug would make great teachers' gifts!!

wow--you do look "older"--yeah, right--you just look cuter!!

I was going to say - Older?? you don't look much older than my sons.  Then I checked your profile and realized you aren't much older!

So far, I have received two wonderful packages during this swap.

This first, from Brihene, included 2 dishclothes (only 1 is pictured because the other was put to immediate use), 3 pens and some very yummy candy.

and the other was from BklynGal.  She sent 3 crochet squares (all lovely), 3 pieces of material and more yummy candy!

Thank you ladies for helping to make my birthday special!

You are going to have some awesome afghan with your squares!!  I also love the dishcloths!! ha ha--I got knitted potholders once that I put to use immediately--then I had to take pics and they were already dirty (at least they were loved!!)--I have seen so much candy lately in all swaps:  must be that people are thinking of Halloween?

Yea! I'm so glad it made it in one piece! (The box really did not have as much head room as I wanted - it made me a little nervous.)  Smiley

It's this great stuff by Pebeo, called Porcelaine 150.  I LOVE it! Paints and mixes like acrylic; dry 24 hours; bake in your home oven at a very low temp of 300F for a brief 35 minutes; VOILA -- personalized dishes!  Supposedly even dish washer safe on the upper rack, but I haven't tested that myself.

Does feel a bit pricey when you first buy some -- something like 4-5 dollars for a tiny jar -- but it goes a lloooooonnngg way! And because it's mixable, you can get away with buying just the primaries and creating other colors as needed.

I do need to get some thinner, tho'. The red had gotten too thick, and I thinned it with water - think that is why I had bubbles in the pink I made.....

That coffee cup is great, Pawnshoppromises!  It looks like it holds plenty of coffee.  You did a great job on it, PimpernelSmith.

You totally scored, Homerof2!  Everything looks great!

This swap has been going great!  I updated the original swap page, adding who has received feedback.  You can see this here.  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=118272.msg1131463#msg1131463

If you believe your feedback should be updated, it means I have not been notified about the thank you note you are required to send the person who sent you something.

Please let me know when you send and receive thank you notes.

This has been a great bunch of swappers for a first time organizer, so much so that I am organizing the October Birthday Swap.  Thanks!   Cheesy
