Ok, this isn't my pattern, but I found this link on knittingpatterncentral and I HAVE to have one!!  Cheesy

I have made SO many Nauties, I was so pleased to find my fave fossil had also been immortalised in knitting!!  Cheesy (It has a touch of crochet on it too).

They look a little complicated, what do you think?? (Someone make me one, cos I don't think I can!!)  Undecided  Cry  Roll Eyes   Wink

My kids love thier Nauties so much, I've had to take a photo of each one I've made (and any given as gifts) and kept them for a 'Nautie family photo album'  Roll Eyes

Maybe, when I've finished the current ones, I'll post all the pics here on Craftster (several are lurking amongst posts already).  Grin

We were chatting about you and your Nauties at SnB last night! I am just finishing off my first, giving him oodles of lovely tentacles. I didn't enjoy knitting him as much as I hoped I would but he is mighty cute...

Aw sweet, trilobites are the coolest!
Shortstuff411, I'm sure you CAN make one... but if you really don't want to I will be happy to make one for you!

After the first, they do get more fun, honest! The first ammonite took me three weeks to figure out and knit, the second took three days.

Hmm, I'm getting quite a rep for making these  Cheesy
I'm on my 12th (I think) I have just finished another ammonite one, and on a straight one now. I have got photos of every one I've done, so when I have finished the current 'shoal' LOL I shall put up an 'album' of them  Grin
