I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but i have been doing several personal swaps to trade for fabric. Generally i have had great sucess, but i have two people that have flaked on me. they both have said that there packages were sent out weeks ago, but now i have emailed them both twice asking about it because they haven't arrived. i can't get them to respond!!! i sent them what i agreed to send them and i paid for postage.

although, i made these agreements on my own, i think that craftster members should be aware of who does not stick to their end of the bargain when it comes to personal swaps. so is there a place to post this info. or do i need to let admin know?  Huh

There is no way for Craftster to track personal swaps, and they are always entered into at your own risk. The only true "insurance" you have is when you participate in an organized swap.

I'm sorry that you were flaked on. Hopefully it won't happen again.

I figured as much. I do know that I "entered at my own risk". I am not asking craftster to do anything about it. I just thought that there should be a place to people to let other craftsters know who flakes when it comes to personal swaps so that others don't end up in the position that i am in. thanks! Smiley

I agree.  I haven't done any personal swaps myself although I've entertained the idea.  I know that karma pays itself forward and for every flake, there will be three folds of satisfaction coming my way.

Fleas on the flakes!  I'm creating a list of who I absolutely refuse to be paired with again.  Perhaps there should be an outside of the ster blog kind of running list hmmm?

Maybe check to see if the person your doing a personal swap with has done swaps before and has them in their feedback first also. I've seen a couple people who want to do personal swaps with negative swap feedback!!
I also do what MoxZ said and make up a list on my own of people who I don't want to swap with, and a list of people I DO want to swap with haha  Tongue

How about adding "These member's have not honored a personal swap with me: member1, member2, member 3 etc." added to your signature. I am considering doing this if my personal swap packages don't come through next week. I think it's a way to let other member's know who is not fulfilling their obligations.  8)d

i totally agree with d...not that it would guarantee that anyone would spot it, before agreeing to do a swap with said people.  unless someone does see your profile, etc.  still i would do that, for the wall of shameness of it. i've only done one swap here so far, but i think it's a point of honor for a lot of us.  even organized swaps have flakers & i cringe to read someone getting flaked on.  Undecided
