I can always practice my knitting...I have to do it with teapot anyway, because she has to cast on for me!  lol!

That made me laugh so hard!

If we have room, I will bring my polyclay because its pretty portable in my rolling cart. If we don't have room, then knitting it is!

I love the idea of a crafty get together...now if only I don't chicken out.  I live in SA but work in New Braunfels.  Either town works for me.

Let me know what/when and I'll try to find the guts to show up!

Jenn-are you extremely shy or just afraid of meeting people from the internet?

If it's the latter, we don't bite...too hard.  rofl!

Seriously though, Teapot and I have met, and met again, and met again, and gone out to dinner...lol!  She's very sweet.  But...I can't vouch for anyone else.  lol!

What part of SA are you in?

Well, I may not be cool   Roll Eyes but I'm pretty harmless, a redheaded grandmother with a taste for chocolate and fake glasses with attached fake nose and mustache........oh, and I'm an Aggie! Whoop!

As a NB local, I know I can get a room at the library depending on the day, but we'd be limited to their hours. I'll  check around for other places in NB, too. Outside at Landa Park can be pretty pleasant, particularly if you have kids who can be playing on the playground or wading in the free wading pool down by the Comal Springs at the back of the park while you are near. There are pavilions near each of those areas that we could get on weeknights (weekends are reserved way WAY ahead of time).

Oh, ho-ho-ho!  Wait.  A.  Minute.  McJulie is an AGGIE?  I was never informed of this! Angry  And a redheaded one at that...I have 2 redheaded children...I know what you people are like!

I'm re-thinking this whole idea... Undecided

 :PLOL!

As for times...just throwing out there if anyone is thinking about weekDAYS, I have a 5 year old with me, so just keep that in mind.  Weeknights are good because I would be child-free, but I wouldn't be able to leave until Steven got home from work, which is usually about 5:30, so I wouldn't be there until 6-6:30 depending on traffic. (Not that we are doing anything that is really time sensitive anyway...)  Weekends anytime are good!

Ha ha ha - I didn't figure you guys were ax murderers or anything!  I'm just a little chicken, that's all!

As far as times go...I'm a working girl, so it would have to be weeknights after 5:30 or weekends.

There is a cool little coffeehouse (with great chicken salad and desserts) in downtown NB by the little pavilion/gazebo thing.  Crossroads Coffeehouse.  It's not a big place, but there are several couches and comfy chairs.  Might be a good place to meet.

Most of my projects are clothes and bags - but this will give me an excuse to start something that doesn't require a sewing machine.  Wink
