I quit putting up the Estate Sale notices because they weren't getting read... but if there are new readers I will : ) I usually get notice on Mondays for Friday sales, so checking in on Wed. or Thurs. is always good.

Meh: (these tend to have wider variety of prices because they don't have as good a handle on all aspects of houshold goods, a piece of furniture might be really well priced but the china is way too cheap and the yarn too expensive, or vice versa)

I've lived here for 3 years now and haven't found thrift or vintage with the likes of my motherland in CA. I usually hit up Hobby Lobby or my favorite 3 story antique store downtown on the corner of Broadway and Houston I think it is.

Some other BIG places to go are the Goodwill on Fredericksburg Rd down about 3 blocks from Crossroads mall towards downtown. They always have good furniture finds and a hig selection of books good for scrapbooking or making cool hardcover notebooks.

There's another giant Texas Thrift at the exit before Ingram off 410. You can see it from the fwy on the right and there's another giant thrift store right next to it.

I know it's not a crafty place, but I spend a lot of cash at Garden Ridge. I'm lucky enough to live 3 miles from the giant one off 35 North, but there's another smaller store if you go towards the TX Thrift exit Ingram and take the turnaround. They have small furniture, party supplies, silk flowers, holiday dec and I always find broken statues or sets missing a piece that I can fix up, paint or sand down to make something awesome.

I'm always up for making new crafty friends who can teach me a thing or two.

I live across the street from the Michaels at Ingram, on the same street as Texas Thrift and of course right across the highway from Garden Ridge. I think I need to hit up Broadway and my old stomping grounds. I always forget about the Goodwill on Fred.
