AND-- ShelbyBelby, you should def learn to knit. It is the most relaxing thing I HAVE EVER learned to do and it's instant gratification. Huzzah for cool knitters.

Impossible Princess-- I'd LOVE to get a lot of people together and meet up sometime, I'm next off on Tuesday of next week. I'm always free after eight. Right now I'm working two jobs and doing part time school, so I'm normally pretty busy, but let me know when you're free and I will work something out. We could go look at yarn porn at mass ave. knits or the golden thimble here in broad ripple (i'm feeling it)

Hahahaha, I know, everytime I go to knitty I get freaked out to see my itty bitty corner of the world out there.
The art festival is HUGE, though, people from all over the country show up. If you're ever in the area you should def check out the Art Center (which is where the festival is held) You can always catch a (free) live glass blowing class or other such fun stuff. PLUS the grounds are beautiful and on the river and peaceful and they have cool permanent outdoor displays. (think Robert-Smith esque)

wheww....done now.

I'm about 10 miles from Broad Ripple.  A craft night would be ace!  Would it be normal crafts or cool, craftster-type crafts?

I think it could/should be both. I'm into knitting and then I'm into really crazy strange things like chair upholstery, rubber stamp making, lots of cool clothes sewing, recyclable type crafts, jewelry, mosaics....almost everything actually. I just got a new apartment at 50th and Broadway and I'm moving in in a few weeks and i'm going from about 500 sq feet to 1500 sq ft so I am excited to be getting my own craft rooom!!! We could definitely do all types of crazy large things there. Knitting is good for coffee shops, but every knitting group i've ever belonged to in this town has flopped. It's funny, b/c I used to live in Richmond (IN smalll) and I belonged to a super awesome meet all of the time knitting group. hmmm, we will see who actually gets back to me on this, but you all are invited to tell me when your free and then we can have an actual craftster Indy meet up!!! huzzah.
