so i made this cowl/neckwarmer out of lovely 1 ply "novelty" yarn, handpun and dyed by craftsters very own knitwit!!  don't you just love swaps?  Grin

pattern
cast on 42 st
work k2 p2 rib for 7 rows.
work st.st till almost out of yarn!
work k2 p2 rib for 5 rows
bind off loosely.
sew side seam with leftover yarn.
now drink some apple cider and snuggle up!

Lovely! I really want to make a cowl/neckwarmer type thing soon. I'm starting to think that entire scarves are a waste of yarn Smiley

does it stay the way it is in that photo, or do you find that it eventually flops down?
because i made a neckwarmer that does just that, so i'm on the lookout for a neck covering that stays doing what it's supposed to.

I LOVE it! Great job on it and it looks so good on you. It's really fun to see what happens to the yarn when it leaves here.

I think I'll make a neckwarmer too when it cools off a bit. No floppy scarf tails to get caught on things = brilliant.
