my sil gave me a couple of her tees and a tank top in a size xs. well i wear xl so too small for me and still to big for my kids but i set them in a "someday" pile. well today was that someday. my 25 month old is starting to show interest in the potty but there is a serious lack of panties at any store in her size, and the one i do find have no padding in them so when she has an accident we get puddles. the padded trainers walmart sells are 2 packs and are $9!!!! so i googled and i found a pattern online for padded trainers so thought i'd try it.

i still had the fronts of the shirts left afer the trainers so i used my leftovers and combined them into a very large size 2t tshirt to match her "no diaper" (what she calls her panties)

and using another tank and adding a bit of stash fabric i came up with this cute dress (she refused to take it off so i only have sneaky action shots) excuse the nap hair

and a side view (she doesnt like to take pics)

i still have a bag full of tshirt her dad has discarded so i will be whippin up some more trainers in the next couple of days

c & c appreciated especially considering i HATE making clothes and usually suck at it i could could any constructive criticism

Personal swap friendly - check out my profile for wishlist and wist

Super cute. I love the little skully pattern   Cheesy
I am starting potty training but my son doesn't understand that you have to take off your underwear before you pee. He thinks underwear are a diaper. How do you make the transition?
