I have found a Janome DC3050 at a great price...does anyone have a machine similar, or this specific machine?
Thanks for any advice..I dont want to make a 400 dollar mistake.

Kenmore machines are made by Janome.  I love me some Kenmore.  I have the Kenmore Elite machine from Sears.  It's made by Janome, and rocks the house.  I also have a Janome serger that is fantastic.  While I have never used/heard about your particular model, you could look up reviews on both Janome and Kenmore to get a good idea of what you're getting.  I however, would rest easy that it's a good machine.

If you're looking for sewing machine reviews, www.patternreview.com has reviews written by people who own them. I don't know if they have any reviews on the particular Janome you are considering, but it's worth a check.

I've heard that Janomes are good machines. My Kenmore (made by Janome) is quite dependable, 12 years after I got it.

Hope this helps!
