Yeah, please do be kind. This is my first true project post...

It's the Skull Illusion Scarf! It's intended for my Boy, but I think I want it.

Camera shook. Dang it.

Crappy quality pic of me rawkin' the scarf.

Check it!! The awesomeness of the illusion!!

Again, modling the awesome scarf.

OW! TOO BRIGHT!! But yeah, it hangs nicely at my hips. The length is fan-fucking-tastic!!

This is the first official knitting project completed for the school year. I think I may wear it the first few days of school before passing it on to the boy. I still need to block it anyways, that'll be my excuse to keep it for a while...>__>;;

What do ya think?

Wow - it looks great!
I am always amazed at illusion knitting. (And have no faith in my pattern-reading ability to try to make one.)

A thought: if YOU like the length so much, suppose you can convince The Boy that it is too short for him?

Great work! ... great knitting work that is.
But you could probably use a bit more practice with the camera. haha

Yes...>__> I shall talk him out of it..

A note on the camera, it was my sisters and she was looking for it. I had to be quick before she caught me with it...and the lighting in my room blows.

Also, Iv'e seen this camera fall down our basement stairs more times than I can count. I believe it has something to do with the camera not liking humans. Possibly.

I like scarves, it almost instant gratification.

I got the pattern here:

http://www.ysolda.me.uk/wordpress/index.php/skull-illusion-knit-scarf/

I love how simple it was and how impressive the result was.

Oh yeah, and knowing I've got something on someone's Wist totally makes me do the shuffle of victory. I feel like I won something.

Great job! I made the Alien Scarf to learn illusion and practice using a chart. My hubby likes it, but he immediately wanted a skull scarf in black and white. Nice to see there's a pattern already out there. Smiley

I found a pattern for an illusion version of Tux the Linux penguin.  I'm going to knit it for DF for his birthday next year (his birthday is in November, far too soon! lol).  Can't remember the link off hand though . . .

Tux is my next venture for a new teacher at my school, I think he deserves a "welcome to our school" gift because we're such a tight family there with only less than 200 kids there.

I think I also want to make the robot in quilt-like form for a friend of mine. He never has any blankets around.
