I have a tooth fairy get-up in progress, for when my kids start losing their teeth. I have this shirt (that I made at cafepress):

It's just clip art that I used, anyone can make one like it.

I just need a cute tulle skirt to go with it.

One of my favorite costumes that I saw looooong long ago was "The Bad Tooth Fairy". She had a black fairy costume, a tooth necklace that she drew black cavities on the teeth, and she used that tooth blackout stuff on her own teeth. It was really funny.

oh i forgot - i love the shirt! and i also liked the idea of the bad toothfairy...i jus thought a black tutu with red and black knee high socks...i never thought of the cavity things though! thats funnnny

sequins hanging from the hem of the tutu? or teeth? or sparkly/sequined teeth?

I went as the tooth fairy last year because I was on a budget and worked in daycare. One thing that I did was make a giant molar out of fimo and place it on a long piece of plastic to make a wand. I also cut a molar out of felt and sewed it to the front of a t-shirt. The kids loved it...

Ok, got the tooth on the shirt. I decided to make it a not nasty but rotting tooth. I cut out a molar from white and sewed it to a tank top. I think my wand will just be a cheesy star wand that's been sitting around. Maybe I'll tie some blue ribbons and sequins to it.

craftsters do it better.
