Thanks...now I have to go buy some finishing needles so I can finish it.  I only had one and my 11 yr. old son broke it the other day.  (He ASKED if I could teach him to felt!  I think that's worth a broken needle!)

RM, unless you are really unhappy with the texture the hat is fine without the smaller finishing needles.  I rarely go to the smaller size because of wanting/liking the rougher pebbeled texture.  It will also smoothe the surface if you steam it well and smooth it with your hands.
