I just started this again this week, but got stuck on the trim on the top of the dress. I've been staring at the directions forever trying to figure out what the heck you are supposed to do. Could anyone explain it? I sewed the shoulder seams together for the trim but then.....   Huh Huh

oh you can do it! i think, with me anyway, the pattern just got boring and unnecessarily complicated. i have the top half finished, minus trim and hemming, and will eventually get to the skirt. Smiley i am psyched about making children's clothes, though, so i want this done before the little one is here!

I would love to try this dress again, but I've lost 40 lbs since I quit in frustration. It would be even more of a tent.

Can't wait to start another one, this time I think in red and black fabric with black contrast.  Guess that means another trip to the fabric store!

I might be interested in trying again...but I need to make it a bit more maternity. Gah, I hate redoing for the ever expanding tummy, lol.
