Ooooh this stitchalong looks pretty darn cool...I'm gonna keep it in mind. I'm thinking of embroidering a pale pink t-shirt I have...maybe with just a plain black line design.

I just have to decide what to actually do...I'm kinda sad that Captain Planet is a tad too modern (created in 1990!! Just one year toooo late!...OH well, I'll keep thinking Tongue)

EDIT: Oooooooooh! The Berenstain Bears!! I remember reading those as kids...I found a cool colouring picture...this could be it Grin OR I am thinking Space Invaders...I found that it was invented in 1978...but surely it counts as 80s? Whoa, I think I am overthinking this...I should go to bed Cheesy

plath: looks great so far!  Cheesy

Did you use one of those transfer pencils for your design? The kind where you trace it on your paper and then iron it onto the fabric?

I bought one of those and was going to print out my design and get started tomorrow. Now I'm thinking (if you used the same method I did) that the lines won't be dark enough to see on my fabric.  Undecided

Thanks guys Smiley  I used a sulky transfer pen.  I could never get the lines dark enough when I tried the pencils, but the pen works great!

I actually just finished it today:

I used my own color choices, so the colors aren't true to the program, but I still like it Smiley  My dh just told me yesterday that he's never seen any of the schoolhouse rock programs, so I ordered the set on dvd from amazon.  I can't wait to see them all over again!

That looks great! I'm completely unfamiliar with schoolhouse rock, but you did a wonderful job on the stitching! Smiley

Woah, the frustration is setting in.  Sad

I purchased the transfer pencil to get my project onto my fabric. But it's too light to see. Then I went hunting all around for this elusive transfer pen and all I got was a lot of blank looks from sales people.  Undecided

Could anyone please recommend a place online that sells this pen and won't kill me on shipping costs? (I'm in the US).

Thanks!!!!

I'm sorry you're getting frustrated - I hope this helps...

I have looked all over for the Sulky transfer pen as well but could only find it online.

There are a couple places that carry it (uncommonthread.com is one) but I actually found it on Joanns.com and if you get their flyer, this week there is a coupon for free shipping on your order with NO MINIMUM PURCHASE!  The pen is on sale as well I believe - sweet!  They have it in Black & White, although the reviews on the white one make me a bit nervous about trying it out.

Why they have it available on-line & not in their stores I don't know...

Good luck!
