OMG! I haven't heard anyone mention Shirt Tales or Get-a-long Gang in so long. I"m really excited about starting this. I think this is going to be my first embroidery project.  Grin

I'm learning towards Tron though.

Camellia_Ruth: That would be a great project! Duran Duran rawks - and that cover is super 80's. Thinking of using a purple pillow case?

Actually (and I'm VERY open to advice..  most of my crafting is cross stitch or embroidery - NOT construction) I was thinking about blowing up the pic and just piecing together the major color areas (think like making a quilt but with wierd shapes)..  that way I wouldn't have to embroider all of that solid color..  would that work do you think?  does anybody have any idea what I'm talking about?  hehe Smiley

Exactly!  Actually, that album cover might have been done by Patrick Nagel but don't quote me on that one....

hah! When you say "graphic....women" it makes it sound so dirty!  Cheesy

He did design that DD cover. And his work is classic 80's so it's a perfect choice.

Mandyhello: That sounds like an interesting idea (and a time saving one). You might want to consider layering them to add some texture -- but I would still start with a purple base and build from there. Sounds like an interesting project!! Cheesy

Ohhh... All these links are so tempting.  There's one in the Jem section of the Misfits that's truly outrageous.  I think I have to sit out the stitchalong because I'm short for time right now. But thanks for all the awesome links, everyone!

I read your manifestos and strange religious tracts.  You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.
