I got a bunch of upholstery samples from a store that went out of business so I've been using them for the outside of my bags. They are a little stronger than regular 100 % cotton, and not too difficult to work with. Plus, there's nothing better than getting craft supplies for free!
This one is my favorite so far:

And this is the first one I ever did- came out a little weird. Don't know if I'll use it or not yet!

Sorry about the pic sizes- trying to get the hang of posting them. This is my second post ever so please let me know if it doesn't look right. Thanks!!

I really like the red bag...very rich-looking texture and nice shape.  I think it came out really nice! Cheesy

And I know what you mean about scoring some great fabric -- I was able to get some great remnants a few weeks ago...in one bin they were 50 cents a piece, which were at least a yard each, and in the other bin they were 99 cents a yard -- all of which were upholstery-weight -- yaaayy! Grin

I know, I got a huge box full of upholstery that's like 24 inches square. It's like Christmas everytime I go into the box!!

The backside of the second bag is red stripes. (Not like the curtains in the background tho, bigger stripes!)

Thanks for your comments, I'm glad someone liked them. Being new at this it's nice to get feedback. Smiley
