Okies I made this little guy from a pair of curdory pants that were given to me. They were really nice but a size 0 and since I couldn't wear them I was determined to use them for something. Smiley The wrinkly fabric was perfect for a turtle.
I used sewingstars pattern for the body but made my own pattern for the shell and tail.
I quilted the shell to give it the "Turtly" look. Smiley I also sewed tiny little beads in to it at a few intervals.
Smiley One arm is smaller than the other because I sewed it to far in the body.

Heh, the little dude looks so happy that he brought a smile to my face! I like the way the material looks -- it seems very fitting for a turtle, somehow. I totally love the way his tail peeks out behind his shell. Smiley

AW thanks. I was hoping he'd make people smile. Turtles always make me smile so I figured it would be fun to share. Smiley
