I was so inspired by Vanessa Cyanide's rockin' pencil skirt that I just had to make one of my own.

whoa, big butt picture.

I used a cranberry colored zipper and spider web details with the same color thread.

Here's a detail of the front of the skirt.

I am soooo damn proud of this thing and feel damn sexy when I am wearing it.

Here's Vanessa Cyanide's original:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=35275.0

Wow, what a nice job on that spiderweb detail! How long did that take? I couldn't do that in a million years.

I also like your contrastinz zipper design.

That's great! I love how the zip contrasts with the colour of the skirt.

LOVE that skirt! I wanna attempt to make one only what fabric did you use? can't tell on the photo... although that might just be my craft-rubbishness.

I love this. I may have to make one myself.

I'm wondering too, what kind of fabric did you use? It really looks perfect!

Sorry to keep you waiting, girls!

For the spider web detail I just traced it on the fabric, and stitched it on my machine. Very easy. It took maybe 20 minutes

And as for the fabric.... I really can't tell you want it is.  I got it for a dollar at (ick) walmart.  It's not stretchy... and it has a slightly silkly feel.
I think next time I make one of these though, I'll use something that has a bit more stretch to it.

Thanks for all the compliments!

Oh yea, and one more thing.  What color/type of shirt do you think I could wear with this?  Does black work? white?? or should I try to find/make a cranberry colored shirt to match the zipper?Huh
