I wish I had noticed this crochetalong back when it first started! I just went through and looked at all of the squares that everyone has made so far. They look great!

I'm going to bookmark all of the patterns (although I don't know if I am experienced enough for the experienced ones!), and attempt to work on it this summer.  My biggest problem will be finding a bunch of coordinating colors that I like!

How much yarn will I need, by the end, do you think? I've checked the patterns, and up to this point, if I follow the instructions, I'll need 5 coordinating colors. On average, how many 12" squares can you get out of a skein of Red Heart (which goes on sale all the time, so it'll be cheap)? I tend to crochet on the tight side. I've never made an afghan before, so I have no idea how much yarn I'd need...

The choices you make today determine the choices you will have tomorrow.

Homerof2 - I love both your choices for April. They are really pretty patterns, and your versions of them look great.
craftaddchick - In my opinion, this CAL is one for which you don't have to rush out and buy new yarn. Pick out a pattern you like, and make it in whatever you have at home. One of the great things about this cal is its flexibility.

I'm only running the 12" one - you can check the same board this is on for others.

Is anyone still doing this crochet-a-long?  I'm the only one who has posted anything for April and it's soon time for me to post May's squares.  If nobody is interested then I won't keep going.

I'm still interested. I just haven't finished my April squares yet.

Although I'm really behind, I'm definitely still interested.

Need something crocheted?  I'll swap amis, afghans, shawls or whatever for a box of yarn.  Smiley

Oh, please, don't say that. I am sure there are plenty like me who are interested - very interested - but just haven't been able to keep up with the monthly aspect of this CAL. I, for one, really look forward to seeing each month's designs on the first day, and I usually have them made quite fast - it's the photography that takes me so long.
I suddenly realised that April is almost over, and have finally got my squares photographed. I hope you like them, and feel it is worth continuing. I shall be extremely disappointed if you stop. This is the only CAL I am participating in, and I really love it.
