I will choose 2 patterns for 12" crochet squares each month, post the links here and then participants can choose to make one or both of them.  By the end of 12 months, you should have enough squares for either a lap afghan (if you make 1 per month) or larger (if you make both per month)

I will try to pick squares of differing difficulties so that newbies and experienced crocheters can participate.

Since this is a craftalong, there is no need to sign up or send me anything saying you're going to participate, however, I would love to see pictures of the squares you have made (post them in this thread.)

Most important is to HAVE FUN! and, if you have any questions or need assistance, either post your question here or PM me and I'll see what I can do to help.

Homerof2 this sounds like a great idea. I have only ever done granny squares when it comes to crochet and I have wanted to learn new stitches, so this would be a great opportunity. Also, since I am doing the quilt along for my son, I could do this one for me!! Yahoo, count me in.

This sounds like such a good idea!  I don't know if I would be very good at it, but I definetly want to try this!  Smiley

I'm in, if I understand the patterns. I haven't crocheted much for several years and I'm not sure if I know enough crochet terms in English. But I think I can join.

Ooo! Count me in! I can never focus on only one project at once, and I could definately use something small to work on the side Smiley

Cool idea - haven't crocheted in years so very rusty! This will help get me back to speed.
